Paper Air Sculptures
Since the late 1980s, I have been designing aerial sculptures. Experimenting with natural materials such as bamboo and Nepalese Lokta paper plays a central role in this work. The tactile qualities, fragility, and unique character of these materials continually serve as the starting point for new forms and insights. For me, designing is an exploration of a visual language that is recognizable while still leaving room for wonder and discovery. The dynamic interplay between form and material is a key driving force in my work and influences both my autonomous art practice and my design projects.
