Naast mijn zakelijke carrière als strategisch-creatief adviseur heb ik altijd de drang gevoeld om als kunstenaar actief te zijn. Het begon met tekenen in Oost-Indische inkt en schilderen met acrylverf, maar vanaf eind jaren '80 werd ik gegrepen door iets anders: vliegende objecten. Ik werkte met materialen als spinnaker en carbon, en later ontdekte ik de schoonheid van Loktapapier uit Nepal en bamboe. Het bracht me naar festivals over de hele wereld, en ik had de eer om mijn creaties te mogen exposeren in musea, zowel hier in Nederland als daarbuiten. Onlangs heb ik die passie opnieuw opgepakt, en ik creëer weer met volle toewijding vliegende objecten van bamboe en papier.
Alongside my career as a strategic-creative advisor, I have always felt a strong urge to be active as an artist. It started with drawing in Indian ink and painting with acrylics, but in the late '80s, I became captivated by something else: flying objects. I worked with materials like spinnaker and carbon, and later discovered the beauty of Lokta paper from Nepal and bamboo. This passion took me to festivals all over the world, and I had the honor of exhibiting my creations in museums, both in the Netherlands and abroad. Recently, I have rekindled that passion, and I am once again fully dedicated to creating flying objects from bamboo and paper.
